At Up Flying Yogaâ„¢, we are committed to your well-rounded growth as a budding aerialist. We offer plenty of class options for you to build on your acrobatic, aerial, and yoga knowledge and expertise. From handstands and arm balance, to conditioning and stretch, we've got all your bases covered. We also offer occasional workshops in different styles of yoga off the ground, if you're feeling particularly adventurous. If there is a class you'd like to see offered that's not on our schedule, please contact us and we'll see what we can do!

Grounded Yogaâ„¢ : Handstands & Arm Balances

Prerequisites: None

Getting strong in your practice is a physical and mental triumph.  Balancing on your hands, forearms and head takes  focus, strength, practice and determination.  In this session, you will start with a gentle yoga warm up to prepare your body for the challenge.  Be ready for lots of arm strengthening, core building, and inversions as you take your world upside down.   Note: there will be lots of wall work. No aerial apparatuses are used during this class.

 

Up Flying Yoga Stretchâ„¢

Prerequisites: Aerial Yoga Level 1

Up Flying Yoga Stretchâ„¢ is a slower paced stretch flow to further release build up of muscle tension with the use of our aerial hammock to help guide you further through stretching of fascia, tendons & ligaments. This class format will offer an even deeper stretch for flexibility and muscle elongation with a focus on deep backbends and splits. It’s a wonderful compliment to your other Aerial practice, balancing the effects of your more active Up Flying Yogaâ„¢ Advanced classes and Up Flyâ„¢ Aerial Danceâ„¢ workout. We recommend taking Up Flying Yogaâ„¢ Level 1 before signing up for this class to gain knowledge of the "plumb line" and body-fabric awareness.
